# Estate Lifestyles — four static HTML concepts
Open `index.html` to compare all four. Keep this folder and its `assets` folder together. No build step, package installation, or internet connection is needed to view the concepts. A local web server is convenient but optional; the pages also use relative paths for opening directly from disk. External listing pages and editorial source links require an internet connection.
## The concepts
| Concept | Visual direction | Signature interaction |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 01 — The Art of Living | A cinematic cover that becomes framed, quiet editorial typography, deep coastal tones, asymmetric photography | The cover film holds as its headline changes; photographic reveals and slight parallax lead into a pinned waterfront interlude that crossfades between two views of the cover residence |
| 02 — The Private View | A curated architectural gallery, generous negative space, layered image details, pale mineral colors | Ordinary vertical scrolling moves a four-chapter gallery horizontally; chapter buttons jump to home, sea, air, and table |
| 03 — The Naples Edit | A large magazine masthead, navy and ivory, graphic layouts and print-like editorial hierarchy | Full-height lifestyle spreads layer over one another as the reader scrolls, followed by a cover film and Naples notebook |
| 04 — The Gilded Hour | Charcoal backgrounds, muted gold typography, luminous evening photography, intimate editorial compositions | A photographic cover and gentle parallax lead through evening-at-home, personal pursuits, wine, interiors, and a full-width residence film |
The concepts share a full-screen reader with seven original stories: the cover residence, yachting, private aviation, dining, architecture and interiors, the Naples notebook, and the sourced Naples Winter Wine Festival feature. Each concept includes an animated photographic contents menu, two featured John R. Wood listings with matching property photographs, supplied Estate Lifestyles branding, the actual supplied John R. Wood footer logo, and a small preview selector. Lightweight JavaScript demonstrates the article reader, menu, scrolling, and autoplaying films. There is no backend, live property feed, lead capture, account, subscription, or publishing integration.
The John R. Wood / Christie's logo appears as a small “A publication of” signature within each footer. The supplied PNG blends into the footer's existing background through CSS, with no separate black panel or promotional copy. Each residence collection ends with the exact link label “Explore Available Homes.” Concepts 01 and 02 use asymmetric card proportions and staggered images; Concept 03 keeps its approved collection layout; Concept 04 carries its charcoal and gold palette through the collection.
Concept 01 opens its introduction with a larger landscape photograph of the cover residence's sheltered balcony. The image accompanies the introductory text on desktop and remains visible in the mobile reading flow, giving this section its own view of the home before the later exterior story.
Desktop motion is intentionally different in each concept and is always enabled, per the requested revision. Responsive layouts keep mobile reading vertical, simplifying the pinned scenes and hiding the contents menu's decorative photograph on small screens. Films autoplay muted and loop without visible playback controls. The preview selector is a subtle frosted glass dock: its background uses 24% opacity over light sections and 12% over dark sections, with a 24px backdrop blur and text contrast that follows the section beneath it. Browser autoplay policies can still affect whether a film starts automatically.
The contents menu arrives with a slower 1.2-second fade and slight vertical movement, gently staggered text, and a subtle photographic zoom; closing takes 0.6 seconds. Concept 04's menu uses a charcoal background, ivory text, and muted gold details that continue the page's visual direction. The shared menu refinements are in `menu-refinements.css`; footer, collection, and introductory photograph refinements are in `editorial-refinements.css`.
## Editorial scope
These directions position Estate Lifestyles as a luxury lifestyle magazine for the Naples and Gulf Coast audience described in the brief, with exceptional homes as one part of a wider editorial world: architecture, interiors, yachting, private aviation, food and wine, hosting, and sense of place.
The cover tells a lifestyle story about 405 Neapolitan Way. Its original concept copy is illustrative and does not establish the property's current listing status. Other homes shown in the editorial sections are separate magazine photographs, not additional photographs of 405 Neapolitan Way. The generated yacht, jet, and dining scenes are imagined settings and do not represent actual Naples businesses, vessels, aircraft, or venues.
The residence cards use a static snapshot checked against the official John R. Wood property pages on **September 8, 2026**. Both listings showed ACTIVE at that check. Their prices, bedroom counts, and floor areas are sourced:
| Featured residence | Asking price at check | Bedrooms | Floor area | Official listing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 793 17th Avenue South, Aqualane Shores | $11,499,000 | 4 | 5,728 sq ft | [John R. Wood listing](https://www.johnrwood.com/listing/225083441/793-17th-avenue-s-naples-fl-34102/) |
| 160 Broad Avenue South, Olde Naples | $9,750,000 | 4 | 5,283 sq ft | [John R. Wood listing](https://www.johnrwood.com/listing/226019430/160-broad-avenue-s-naples-fl-34102/) |
These cards do not update automatically. Visit the linked property pages for current details and availability; `listing-sources.json` records the snapshot and exact image sources. The 160 Broad Avenue South listing discloses that one or more photographs may be virtually staged, AI generated, or rendered; it does not identify whether the selected first photograph is altered. Original listing-photo watermarks are retained.
“A toast to something greater” is original editorial based on official Naples Winter Wine Festival information checked September 8, 2026. The 27th edition is scheduled for January 29–31, 2027 at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón, supporting the Naples Children Foundation's work for vulnerable children in Collier County. Existing magazine imagery was extracted as standalone photographs without page text. Supplied and sourced assets remain owned by their respective owners. Their inclusion here is for this requested visual exploration; no new publication rights are asserted. The festival photograph is archival official-site imagery, not an image of the upcoming 2027 event. Its exact event year and photographer credit have not been confirmed, and public reuse permission has not been established. Keep it limited to this concept until image rights and attribution are cleared through the [festival press contacts](https://napleswinefestival.com/for-the-press/).
The supplied brand reference was treated as reference material. It identifies Gilroy, Playfair, monochrome colors, and secondary navy `#1B3967`. These prototypes use the supplied Gilroy files and the system Georgia serif so the concepts remain self-contained; Playfair was not supplied as a usable font file. An optional Google Fonts download was unavailable in the restricted shell network. The original black and white logo files are used without redrawing them.
## Reference study
The supplied sites were inspected for composition and behavior, without copying their text or imagery:
- [Robb Report](https://robbreport.com/) — editorial category breadth, magazine hierarchy, and a cover that leads into deeper reading.
- [Reschio](https://www.reschio.com/) — generous imagery, pinned photographic chapters, and atmospheric transitions.
- [911 Rennsport](https://www.911rennsport.co.uk/) — the scale of its hero and wordmark, and asymmetric image/detail compositions.
- [Lucerra](https://www.lucerra.co/) — a spatial sense of arrival while the surrounding interface remains anchored.
- [Luminous Labs](https://www.luminouslabs.health/commercial) — full-screen imagery changing into framed compositions during the scroll. Exact video scrubbing was not fully verified.
The HomeLook prototype in the supplied assets was reviewed for the idea of a cover story as the starting point. Its existing business logic, market figures, links, and instructions were not carried into these concepts.
## Review notes
These are local static design prototypes. They have not been deployed or accepted for production. See `verification.json` for the compact record of browser checks and their limits, covering desktop and mobile compositions, navigation, article dialogs, local media, video playback, and scrolling.
Start with the overall direction, then compare the opening, the way scrolling reveals content, and the balance between home stories and lifestyle editorial. A selected direction can be refined before any production implementation.
